About Us

Let's Play The Game

Let's Play the Game was created to provide a better standard of technical sports coaching to young people and primary schools across the West Midlands.

Our Mission

Our mission from day one has been to help children learn the skills they need to excel in sports and beyond, within a fun and inclusive environment.

Our Approach

Our approach is to focus on games rather than individual drills. We have found this accelerates learning, keeps children moving, and helps them develop social skills they can use in the real world.

About Let's Play The Game Ltd

Every Let’s Play the Game coach is DBS-checked, qualified to level 2 in at least one sport (a governing body qualification), trained in First Aid and child protection, and fully insured to run sports classes. What’s more, each of us believes in the importance of active, confidence-boosting team games in helping young people reach their potential.

If you are a primary school sports teacher, a head teacher or parent and would like your children or pupils to be more active and involved in expertly taught sports, take a look at our services in more detail. they include:

About our founder

Kurtis

Kurtis - Let's Play the Game Founder

As an athletic ‘all-rounder’ with particular love of football, sport was always going to be the career of choice for our founder Kurtis Pottinger. Having worked for another coaching company in his early career, Kurtis realised most sports lessons were not engaging, fast-paced or fun, so he started Let’s Play the Game.

His mission from the start has been to offer an unrivalled quality of technical and practical teaching to young people during sports games. By removing traditional drills from lessons, Kurtis has made sessions more inclusive, team-based, and therefore more educational and fun.

In his own words:

In the early days as a coach I saw so many uninspiring lessons where kids did a lot of standing around queuing, doing individual exercises or waiting for their turn. My vision was for a coaching company where games were the teacher - not just the coach. With Let's Play the Game, pupils go out and learn from their mistakes and are constantly active and involved.
